Dessau was supposed to be the follow up to their debut album Frigid Stars but was never released. Recorded in 1992, technical problems in the studio led to the album being shelved and saw Brokaw leave the band. Some of the songs were reworked for the bands The White Birch album. For the albums thirtieth anniversary, the album is being released as originally intended
